The Two Olive Trees and Zechariah’s Vision
Zachariah 4 describes a prophetic picture of what will happen in the End Times during the time of the Antichrist. During this time the Lord will choose an anointed remnant from among the wild olive tree (Gentiles) and the natural olive tree (Jews) to be used mightily by the hand of the Lord. These two body of witnesses will be dripping with the oil of the anointing of Elijah and they will move in sings and wonders in order to take Israel out of spiritual Egypt. This company of believers will be the Joshuas and Calebs that will take Israel into the fulfillment of their promises.
The description of 2 branches or sticks coming together and being one by the hand of the Lord in Ezekiel 37:15-19 also TYPIFIES these 2 remnants coming together in the last days.
I also believe that all these scriptures point to the ultimate manifestation of the one new man in Ephesians 2:14-18 that in the last days will fully form as Jews and Christians become one.
Romans 11:24
After all, if you were cut out of an olive tree that is wild by nature, and contrary to nature were grafted into a cultivated olive tree, how much more readily will these, the natural branches, be grafted into their own olive tree!
Zachariah 4
11 I replied by asking him, “What are those two olive trees on the right and left sides of the menorah?” 12 Then I asked the question again: “What are those two olive branches discharging gold[-colored oil] through the two gold spouts?” 13 He replied, “Don’t you know what they are?” I answered, “No, my Lord.” 14 He said, “Those are the two who have been anointed with oil; they are standing with the Lord of all the land.”
Revelation 11:3-4
And I will appoint my two witnesses, and they will prophesy for 1,260 days, clothed in sackcloth.” 4 They are “the two olive trees” and the two lampstands, and “they stand before the Lord of the earth.”
Ezekiel 37:15-19
15 The word of the Lord came again unto me, saying,
16 Moreover, thou son of man, take thee one stick, and write upon it, For Judah, and for the children of Israel his companions: then take another stick, and write upon it, For Joseph, the stick of Ephraim and for all the house of Israel his companions:
17 And join them one to another into one stick; and they shall become one in thine hand.
18 And when the children of thy people shall speak unto thee, saying, Wilt thou not shew us what thou meanest by these?
19 Say unto them, Thus saith the Lord God; Behold, I will take the stick of Joseph, which is in the hand of Ephraim, and the tribes of Israel his fellows, and will put them with him, even with the stick of Judah, and make them one stick, and they shall be one in mine hand
Ephesians 2:14-18
14 For he himself is our peace, who has made the two groups one and has destroyed the barrier, the dividing wall of hostility, 15 by setting aside in his flesh the law with its commands and regulations. His purpose was to create in himself one new humanity out of the two, thus making peace, 16 and in one body to reconcile both of them to God through the cross,by which he put to death their hostility. 17 He came and preached peace to you who were far away and peace to those who were near. 18 For through him we both have access to the Father by one Spirit.
