The Victorious Church of the End. Regained Authority and Deliverance from Shame and Accusation
1. The Fall: Shame, Fear, and the Loss of Authority
Immediately after the fall in the Garden of Eden, the first consequences of sin in the human soul were shame, fear of punishment, separation from God, death and the loss of authority. When Adam and Eve ate from the forbidden fruit, their eyes were opened, and they realized they were naked. In response, they sewed fig leaves together to cover themselves. When they heard the voice of the Lord walking in the garden, they hid among the trees, overtaken by shame and fear.
At the moment of the fall, something profoundly spiritual occurred. Disobedience opened the door for the serpent to gain access to the human heart, bringing accusation, fear, and shame. At the same time, the delegated authority humanity had received to rule the earth in communion with God was forfeited. That authority was handed over to Satan, who became the ruler of this world.
Genesis 3:6–8
2. The First Promise: Authority Will Be Restored
Even in humanity’s failure, God immediately declared His redemptive purpose. Because the serpent deceived the woman, God pronounced judgment upon the serpent and foretold ongoing hostility between the serpent and the woman, and between their respective offspring (Genesis 3:15).
From the beginning, God revealed that history would unfold as a conflict between the woman’s seed and the serpent’s seed. Yet the outcome was never in doubt: the woman’s offspring would ultimately crush the serpent’s head. This promise reveals that the Messiah would restore what was lost, defeat the deceiver, and make all things right. That promised offspring is God’s Son, Jesus Christ the Messiah.
3. The Cross: The Serpent Defeated and Shame Removed
The crushing of the serpent’s head would occur through the bruising of the heel of the woman’s seed. This was fulfilled at the cross. Through His death, Jesus crushed the serpent’s head, silenced the accuser, and removed Satan’s legal right to accuse humanity and instill fear of punishment.
At the cross, Jesus took upon Himself the punishment deserved by Adam, Eve, and all their descendants. Because of His sacrifice, shame no longer needs to rule the human heart, and the fear of God’s punishment is removed. Similarly, the fear of dying as a consequence is also removed, as Jesus conquered death through His resurrection and gives believers eternal life and the hope of a glorious resurrected body.
When we understand and believe that Jesus has already taken our punishment, condemnation loses its power, and shame is removed from our hearts (Hebrews 10:22). As we grasp that in Christ we have everlasting life and that upon His return we shall be resurrected, our fear of death loses its grip.
At that point, we stop trying to cover ourselves with fig leaves—our own works and self-efforts—and instead rest in the righteousness that God provides.
4. Fig Leaves vs. Righteous Garments
Human effort can never remove shame. Fig leaves cannot cover guilt or silence fear. Only God can do this through the blood of Jesus (Genesis 3:7, Genesis 3:21).
Although the serpent’s head was crushed at the cross, believers still struggle when they listen to the voice of accusation and when they loose sight of the victory on the cross. When we doubt the sufficiency of the cross and the blood of Jesus, fear begins to rule our hearts again. This ongoing battle is not against sin itself, but against believing the accusations of Satan. Victory comes only through a deep understanding of the power of the blood of Jesus.
5. Freedom from Condemnation and Fear of Death
Sin and death were defeated at the cross. Because of Jesus, those who put their trust in Him are no longer destined for eternal separation from God. Though physical death remains, eternal death has been abolished. In Christ, we now have access to eternal life and resurrection (Romans 8:1–4).
When believers understand this truth, fear of loss—even fear of death—loses its grip. Yet when we listen to the serpent’s accusations, we effectively deny the power of the cross, allowing fear to return. This is the internal conflict believers must overcome: trusting fully in the finished work of Jesus.
6. The Woman and the Mature Son that is snathced to heaven
Scripture teaches that the woman is saved through childbearing, pointing prophetically to the end of the Church age and the salvation of Israel (1 Timothy 2:15).
Revelation 12:5 portrays this moment: the woman gives birth to a son that is later caught up to heaven. This Son that is caught up to heaven is a mature male child (huios—a fully grown son), not an infant. This male child represents a remnant of the Church that has reached maturity. One that has shaken the powers and principalities of the air and has triggered the expulsion of satan and his angels from heaven, as he is found himself without power to accuse her because she stands boldly in the truth and power of the gospel and this is the remnant that will in fact provoke Israel to jalousy and will bring many to salvation.
7. Authority Reclaimed and the Accuser Cast Down
The accuser of the brethren no longer has the power to accuse this mature remnant of the Church. Having fully embraced the power of the blood, possessing a powerful testimony of Christ in her life as the Word becomes flesh, and having lost all fear of death, she places the serpent under her feet (Psalm 110:1) and becomes victorious over Satan.
At this point, a war breaks out in the spiritual realm. The accuser loses his place in heaven and is cast down by Michael and his angels (Revelation 12:7–9).
This moment signifies that the Church, fully exercising her authority in heavenly places, now rules spiritually, seated with Christ from on high (Revelation 3:21, Ephesians 2:6–7).
It is important to mention that the time Satan is cast down from heaven coincides with him taking over the Antichrist and coming against the Church and Israel with full force. This moment initiates the Great Tribulation. However, we must understand that during this time, the spiritual victory over Satan has already been won.
8. The Overcoming Church
Once the global Church fully understands the power of the blood, Satan will loose all authority over her and she will become the victorious mature church of the end. She will win this victory by:
The blood of the Lamb
The word of her testimony
Fearlessness even unto death
Revelation 12:11
This is the moment when salvation, power, and the kingdom of God will be openly manifested.
Revelation 12:10
The Church becomes fearless, surrendered, and victorious—ready to proclaim the gospel to all nations, provoke Israel to jealousy, and endure persecution without fear.
9. Love’s Final Victory
At the end of the age, love triumphs. Fear and shame lose all authority. The serpent no longer has access to her heart.
She becomes lovesick for Christ, willing to give all for Him, even her life; and the image of Christ is fully formed in her.
Song of Solomon 8:5–7
Closing Declaration
Fear and shame, where is your power now?
The blood of Jesus is enough.
May we cast away our fig leaves and allow the Lord to clothe us with the righteousness of Christ alone.
Conclusion
Satan’s authority is temporary.
Christ’s victory is complete.
The Church is being prepared.
Israel will be restored.
When the Church reaches maturity and Israel calls for her King, Jesus will return, bind the enemy, and establish a Kingdom of righteousness, peace, and justice that will never end.
